Diddly stuff

8 am
I got a lot of diddly stuff done yesterday, including errands, which included posting bunny fliers around. I would really like to sell the black and chocolate bunnies, because I think they are very nice. The black’s coat seems like it will be lovely, dark black, with grey agouti stripes, and really soft. The chocolate, whose coat is coming in pretty gray, is also very soft, and seems quite friendly. I will bring them to the Hartsbrook fair.
Sounds like the big E fiber event was quite successful, I guess I ought to look into how to apply to be a vendor. I wonder how much it costs. Out of curiosity, since the knitters at work were talking about it, I looked up the Stitches event – it costs $650 for a booth! Well, they get the big name, commercial yarn producers, not the little rinky-dinks like me.
My M-I-L seems to be doing progressively worse. She is not drinking at all, K says she is not thirsty, and they will not hydrate at Hospice. So I don’t see how she can last very long. It sounds like she is in and out of consciousness, but at the best of times is only faintly aware of things. K offered to tell her a story, which she agreed to, but then he couldn’t think of one, so he read Winkin’ and Blinkin’ and Nod which is nice. I thought of the idea, which I should email him, of bringing in a hymn book and singing some hymns. Seems like that would be familiar and soothing.
Today the students have their practical test, then we go to the library. It makes for a relatively easy week. We do need to get things ready for the jumping lab, so I think this morning I will film myself jumping and see if I can get the take-off velocity using the ImageJ program. I sure hope the prof has lots of time on Friday to work this whole thing out.
I got some good, well, I will amend that to “interesting” reds yesterday. I will try to take a photo, but natural light will be crucial. The purply one is burgundy, the other is fire red, both are Jacquard acid dyes. I have fresh angora in the jars to exhaust the left over dye, so we’ll see what light versions look like. I also started carding some bright (and I mean bright!) orange Romney with plucked white angora. The sample I made came out great, so we’ll see.
