Butt Burn

7 am
Well I am so very sick to death of having butt burn. It’s been bad for several days and I wonder if I should contact the GI doc. I know that he will prescribe antibiotics. I wonder if all these times that I’ve had it so bad has been because I’ve had pouchitis and that I should be treating it instead of suffering which I do. Well I’ll see. I could call him next week.
As for today, I would like to finish the garage before we head to the farm. Getting ahead of myself. I should report on yesterday, which was reasonably productive. I worked very hard on the garage and am close. I’m at the point of going through boxes of random hardware and sorting it. A fair bit I will just get rid of. Some I am managing to put in boxes and label. And I still have a few unlabelled plastic boxes so that is good.
I also managed to do some cooking yesterday. I made a big ratatouille from farm veggies and brought that to the CSA potluck (there were 2 other ratatouilles, what a surprise!). And I cut up and cooked some tomatoes and strained them. Now I need to cook them down a bit and put them in canning jars. And I’ll bring the rest of the ratatouille to the farm to share with whoever is there tonight. Which means I still need to cook something to bring to the work potluck on Tuesday.
I tried something new with the purple batts. They were set up as a sandwich with bits of yarn between the layers. Well I decided to recard them all, and I spun that up. But I don’t like it that much. Hmmmm. I like the drama of the original sandwich batts, but I do not like the bluntness of the yarn edges. MAYBE I will try taking out all the yarn bits and recarding those to loosen them up more. Then put them back as a sandwich. Another idea – to spin a single and ply that just with thread so I can better anchor those bits. Before I did a  ply with 2 yarns and the thread. It held things well but ended up over-plyed. So maybe if I spin a thick single and ply with just the thread it will be better. I think I’ll try that first. I washed both the other skeins and I think I will make a small pair of wristers with each of them just to see how they knit up.
I looked up J pouch butt burn on line before I started writing, and it is interesting that a lot of sites came up. Most were created after my surgery, which after all is so very long ago as these web things go. I think I will look them over, see what people have to say.
