Found Salt and Boucle

7:30 am NO WAIT! It is 6:30
How lovely to be up so early. Sort of.
Well, I know what I must pretty much spend the entire day today doing – going over those reflection and rewrites on the students’ proposals and figure out HOW I am going to put grades on them. Oh dear. At least yesterday we had a reasonably nice day. And I pretty much did NONE of the work stuff. Not til the end when I did download and print their stuff out which will make it easier for me to read through. What we did do, was go for a hike up Mt. Tom and then did errands in Easthampton and had lunch in Northampton. Oh, and BIG NEWS: I FOUND THE SALT!!!!! I first started the day by making a bunch of calls and finally found that the Rite Aids in Ware and Easthampton each had one on their shelves. We decided to go get it in Easthampton bc K wanted to hike Mt. Tom. And that meant we could also go to his beloved beer store, which we did and bought 3 random 6 packs and a big bottle of cider. I actually chose 6 porters, got kind of into the swing of things, but the reality is, I don’t know when I will drink them. It is bad enough having to drink alcohol when we go out, when we are home I so rarely want to. Oh well. Then we were going to check out Local Burger in NHampton, but it was really crowded with a waiting time, so we went to the diner across the street instead and it was really cute. Basic diner food, but that was ok, I had a Reuben sandwich. And what about once we got home? I don’t remember. Oh, yes I do. I was going to start a fire when G came to find me by the raised beds where I was dumping ashes and weeding out Gill in the Grass, and she wanted to go get sushi. Except she really wanted just Chinese food. So we went to Amherst Chinese and I got a bowl of seaweed soup that I didn’t really especially want, and she had dumplings and fried rice and boc choi and we had a very nice visit. And once we got home I was pooped so I went to rest, had a short nap and actually meditated. And I didn’t even make supper at all which was lovely. Oh, except that after I did some lovely spinning I was inspired to cook (I had thawed some ground beef, except that once thawed I realized it really was not good, it was kind of old, so I used good ground beef and thawed it in the micro). I cooked the beef w onions and will use that today to mix with beans and rice and make some nice supper.
As for the spinning, I plyed the boucle – once the boucle ply and once the over-ply, and then I spun more angora for a next batch. That will give me something nice to do between my yucky grading.
