Good Things (well some of them)

8 am
I have decided that I am fine and that feeling down is just something that is and that is fine. Well, it helps that today is Tues and I get to stay home. Of course that means basically grading all day, but I will just have to plug away.
The bad news is that I feel like I have another odd sore throat and hope like hell it is a remnant and not the beginnings of a new nasty sickness. It’s almost like an ache in the back of my throat.
I lost another baby yesterday. I wonder if the trouble is that they are getting out (oh, there was one on the wire this morning, but it was fine and I put it back in the nest) and dying from the cold. I think I will put an actual nest box in there for her. Maybe using the hutch areas is not such a good idea.
Nice stuff – well, maybe I will try to spin more dog hair today. Not that that is so nice. And I made some yummy 3-hole cake Sunday. I added half the called-for sugar which I think is fine, but it is definitely not very sweet. I think I am going to tell my co-worker tomorrow that I want to stop with the stupid Wellness thing at work. It is stupid and annoying and I don’t want to think about it anymore.
Oh, here’s something nice: I took the T for a walk around the long block Sunday night and heard: a woodcock, at least one coyote, and a great-horned owl! Very cool.
I am now going to meditate, and then start in on the next section’s labs, and eat breakfast. I started a fire going so that is cozy.
