Trip to Maine

hmmm i am writing on L's computer and i'm not so sure about this. for one thing, it does not automatically correct all my typo mess-ups and lazinesses (like not capitalizing i)

i just switched to the word processing program but it is no better!

anyway, i am in Maine and it is utterly loverly. the getting here was not so great it is a long long drive. right now i am eating oatmeal and a smoothy for breakfast, i just got back from a walk to town to buy ingredients for the marinade for the venison that we will cook tonight. L is about to go into campus and i will sit here and grade. oh joy. 

yesterday was truly loverly. we went for a nice long slog/bushwack through the woods and up a hill to a beaver pond, and then along a stream to another beaver pond. pretty much the whole way we followed the trail of an otter, it was really great. and while sitting enjoying the sun at the second pond we saw a mink! it just loped on by. very exiting!

i’m having a very hard time getting myself going with these labs that i must grade. before leaving for here i managed to get through 1 1/2 of the questions on the exam page that i must grade. that leaves 1 1/2 more to go. at least i started with the worst and the last one should be the easiest. and by the time i get back home it will probably be a welcome break from the lab reports. i am going to have to spend the complete entire weekend grading.

oh, more excellent news - baby bunnies!! they were born monday night and the only bad thing is that i am not home so G is having to deal with them. i hope everything goes well, it is pretty cold. there may be as many as 2 more litters in the next day.
