Busy Day At Home

8:30 am
Managing to stay home today which is lovely. Not that the day seems especially lovely, meaning that it is not Mountain Day again. Not many choices left if it is going to be before break. Doesn’t matter that much to me right now. If it is tomorrow it means the first exam gets put off until Friday. If it is Thursday it means no lab this week, but we will have lab next week instead. Right now the big thing I must spend all day doing is going through their independent project proposals. And then figuring out how I am going to help them do the projects. Hmmm. It is all quite a mystery to me. And before I can do any of that I am going to have to clear off my table. It is a huge mess and in fact the entire kitchen (dare I say the entire house?) is a huge mess and I must deal with at least enough of it to give me space to work.
Went to First Person last night. Me, two other regulars, and a new woman. The stuff she read was quite interesting. Tonight is spinning which I would like to go to, but I don’t know. I have been so so so tired, that I will have to see how I feel. I am starting to suspect that the congestion in my sinuses might be allergies. Not that that knowledge helps much, it still feels crummy and seems to drain my energy.
What else today? Not much. Oh. I really need to do some food stuff. That will be the fun part. I picked up the share yesterday, along with some corn thinking I would heat up the meat/cabbage I cooked on Sunday, and have that with corn. But when I got home, K had made fish – SURPRISE! Iif I had had to make supper there is no way I would have had time. I would have had to tell First Person that  I would be late. Of course, as it turned out, it would not have mattered since we started kind of late. Anyway, now I have lots of food to deal with. I picked tomatillos and will try to make salsa verde, or some mild version of it. And Mama Stamberg’s cranberry relish. G is upset about the food being planned for FG (Fakesgiving). She was concerned about no creamed onions, but my sister just said she would make some (good bc I could NOT find the jarred onions we usually use). And someone is bring roasted veg and winter squash, so those things are good. G might bring some greens to cook up. And I will make regular old stuffing. And MAYBE we can make a pie. We’ll see about that one. I need to look up the salsa verde. It includes jalapeno peppers which I do not have and do not want to put in it. So I guess I’d better get started. Bunnies. Eat breakfast. Oh, start a bread dough to rise. Then tackle the table. Our new renter  has arrived. She is upstairs moving furniture around. So I guess she’ll be here for at least the morning. Too bad, I REALLY like having the house to myself. But she is perfectly nice and it should not be a problem at all. I can still put the radio on, she is not sitting up there trying hard to study.
