Photos and Archy

6:15 am
Darn. I was hoping as I got up that I could find that sleeping pad and use it to do my stretches outside on the deck this morning. It is so lovely out here and hot and sticky inside. But I can’t find it and besides that it is actually wet out here because it very amazingly rained last night. Only enough to dampen everything, not the soak we really need. But it is wet. So I will write first, then do my stretches inside on the disgusting dog rug. Maybe that is one thing I can make with my new rag rug warp – a rug that I can use for stretches.
Seems like I spent all of Friday getting ready for the fair, all Saturday doing the fair and all yesterday recovering. Not really since I didn’t actually start getting ready until Friday afternoon and I only spent a part of yesterday recovering. And I haven’t even finished as I need to put the booth stuff into the rental house garage still. A good bit of what I did yesterday was to photograph some stuff and I actually put one thing – the long scarf I finished last week – on etsy!!!! I have a couple more pretty much ready to go. It is kind of a long process of answering things and writing things to actually get something posted, but I will try to do more today. And I need to photograph some skeins. All I did yesterday was pure angora stuff.
I tried to go to the KO show in the afternoon but messed up my timing, so I missed out on the cheap tickets and decided to just bike home (and take more photos). Then I went to the evening puppet one. It was a presentation of the stories about Archy the cockroach by Don Marquis. We actually read them in High School. They were written in the 20s and are kind of cute, though not something I was ever especially enamored of. The puppets were really good, though surprisingly small, and the actors were excellent. It was fun. K actually came, though late so I did not see him til the end. I don’t think he liked it that much. Too bad.
I’ve been doing a lot of listening to Life and Adventures of Martin Chuzzlewit the Dickens book I have on MP3. I love it. It is one of the best things in my days. I have also been listening to Turn of the Screw on cd, but I don’t like it so much and realize I am getting kind of sick of Henry James.
