Once again
I am out here in the lovely early morning. This is definitely the best time of
day. I was out late last night spinning in the sunroom which was nice, too, in
terms of temperature but not so nice in terms of mosquitoes.
We went
out for lunch together yesterday, and before that we brought my fair stuff to
the rental house, and in the process reorganized things there and brought a
very full car-load back here. Then, we had a nice lunch at the Loose Goose, K went
off to see Vicky at Hart and Patterson, and after he got back we went to see
Moonrise Kingdom, which we both found odd. Once home I went outside and spent
the rest of the evening in the sunroom which was quite lovely except for the
bugs.
It is
promising to be another scorcher today. I have my work very definitely cut out
for me with all the huge mess of boxes in the basement. I need to make
decisions about the fabric – what I will actually use for rugs and what I should
get rid of. Then there are all the boxes of old journals. I ought to see if I can
attach years to them (most of the really early ones do not have years, but
those I can figure out). And boxes of letters. And other stuff. G was going
through boxes of her old papers. It was very cute. There are lots of boxes of L’s
school work, but she will have to go through that stuff eventually. Some day. When
she in next here.
G has
jury duty today. She tried to call last night to see if she had to go in and
the message was not clear, so I guess she does. Let’s just hope she does not
get on a long trial. Of course it is kind of interesting. And would get her out
of these long super hot days at the farm. But she would not like that at all and
it would be hard on the others.
I managed
to clip the white young female bunny that I plan to keep. Now she is all naked
and looks very funny. Today I must pluck the second black one I will keep – Ebony.
The white one is Excelsior. A man called several days ago interested in a
bunny, but he has not called back. I wish he would so I could find out which of
the babies he might want because it is getting to be time to cull the herd.
It sure
is incredibly nice out right now. Makes me thing of sitting in the lovely cool morning
at Three Mile, though it is way noisier. The traffic here in our backyard is
sure noisy. And, right now, the birds! Can’t complain about that. Right now it
is the blue jays.
I took
more Etsy photos yesterday, and I uploaded 2 more items, so now I have 3. I want
to put up a bunch of skeins. Since they are what I most like to make, creative
and interesting skeins, that is what I should try most to sell. I sold
virtually none at the fair.
And I don’t
think I said anything here yet about the new litter of babies!!!!! Hurray! She had
9, but only 5 made it, and they seem to be doing well. I will have to post some
photos. Amber finally had hers, too. It was very late, more like 35 days, she
only had one and it was very old with lots of hair and very sadly it was dead. I
think maybe being in the heat is not so good.
