A Day At Home

7 am
Wow it is cold. Not a frost as far as I can tell, but I guess I’ve been spoiled by a summer of heat, so this feels really chilly. Today I am STAYING HOME. I have gobbers I could do at work, but since I am, after all, only part-time, I figure I had better put some brakes on it. And what with having to be in early for lecture on Wed and Fri, then having the rest of the day to work, I figure I can get my stuff done then. And besides that, I worked a lot on Sunday, just getting my brain ready for lab. Which went well enough. A few things I will perhaps change for Thursday, but it was ok and I think the students had a good time. Sure is different working with seniors!
So today… well, of course I have gobbers to do here, too. Lots of laundry still to do. I’ve been doing a bit at a time, but the thing about laundry is that it just keeps accumulating! Looks like today will be good for hanging it out. And the fridge really really needs a sorting. At least, since cooking the pork butt over Labor Day, the freezer is not quite so crammed. Maybe at some point today I could even work on those rabbit cages. Now that the big cage is not being used, I can take the roofing off it and cut it for the 2 smaller hutches. Get them functional again.
I made up some flyers for my class, so I need to find ways to put them up. I checked on line and no one has signed up for the class yet. Not really surprising. It is kind of a specialty thing. Well, I will try to do some advertising.
Still have not gotten all that far with Gabriela. I suppose I’ll read more of that. I have nearly finished Barnaby Rudge which I will be kind of sad to finish. Finally some good things are happening; as usual Dickens is tying up loose ends. Maybe I’ll have to see what other Dickens I can upload.
Another thing that needs to be dealt with is the worms that need rebedding. Though when I started to, I realized that there is still a good bit of paper and stuff still in with the castings, so maybe I will wait another week on that. And, I do want to do a good solid bit of spinning today. And bake some bread. I also want to get my pink journal and review the old ToDo lists. See what has yet to be done. And cross of with great flourish the things that actually got done.
