Spinning on the Common

8 am
I must confess I am very anxious about lab tomorrow. It will probably go fine, but I must get myself more fully ready. I’ll spend a good part of today on that, with the hope…that I can maybe stay home on Tuesday. But in reality – maybe not, since I have a lot lot lot to do to get the respiration stuff ready. Well, as for today, I must print out and read over again the lab. I will then revise the lesson plan I made up yesterday (I forgot, for example, to include the graphing they need to do, and I need to figure out where, if anywhere, to put in the blood vessel slides). Then I need to read more in the text about, most specifically, blood pressure.
As for yesterday. What of all that list of ToDos did I do? Not many. I suppose I should look it over again to see. Well, I certainly did not do any bunny stuff. I did manage to get some laundry started, though with the heavy rains we had, nothing got put on the line. What I mostly did, on a last minute decision, was to go spin on the common where the farmers market was happening, and the annual trash to treasure event. The idea was to spin and hand out flyers about my upcoming class (LSSE). First we stopped at Black Sheep and got some tea and treats, then K did all the dump/rental house stuff while I set up and spun. It was ok really. I mean, getting a chance to just spin for several hours, nothing wrong with that. A fair number of people stopped and chatted, and I handed out a bunch of flyers. Whether any of them will yield students I do not know. Thurs night of this week there will be a “block party” downtown where they are closing off N. Pleasant st and having street musicians, food, etc. I think I will bring my wheel there, too. I don’t know if I will get any trouble for not having signed up, but it is not as if I will have a booth to sell things or anything. Just me, public citizen, spinning (and handing out flyers).
After the spinning, I got home and really was beat. I did a certain amount of just sitting (interspersed with putting laundry in). I napped, I read a lot of Gabriela, I spun more. Rain (big thunderstorms) came and went. I did the buns and finally cooked supper very late – pork stir fry. I listened to more Barnaby Rudge. I wrote out my lesson plan.
Ok, I guess I’d better get to it. Bookclub this afternoon at the book mill. I’ll send a message and I wonder if anyone will remember, if anyone read the book, if anyone will make it.
