Thougths on :"Vending"

8:20 am
Well. I have started the fire, done my stretches, fed though not watered the bunnies and taken a shower. The shower was the hardest part. I am not fond of getting naked and wet. Normally once fully involved in the process I am naked wet and nice and hot, which makes it quite pleasant, but today I ran out of hot water!! I guess my fatal mistake was starting the dishwasher while our housemate was taking his shower, then taking mine just after. I managed, but it made the whole thing a chore. I should have been part of the Queen Eliz I entourage when they took one bath a year. Or at any rate, she did, I wonder about the entourage. Did they have to use her bath water after she was done? Maybe it was Mary Queen of Scots. Anyway, somebody like that.
Many things to consider about the whole booth/vending (I hate that term) thing.
·         Should I leave the bunny at home (is it too much of a distraction)?
·         I MUST come up with kits of various sorts
·         I also need to get an actual business/tax number so I can apply to sell at for example the Deerfield Fair
·         Display considerations:
o   Set up the booth so I am behind the table instead of in front of it
o   Rethink hat displays (I didn’t sell any hats at the fair last weekend!)
o   Rethink my shelves which are so difficult to set up
o   Perhaps make some of those screens made of fencing that we saw at Rhinebeck
o   Get the rolling closet thing from the farm and try it out (is it too heavy?)
Ok those are things to think about during this relative “lull” time. I have no fairs scheduled until summer, though I really should look into the woolapalooza (?) at Drumlin Farm. That is in March. Oh and one more thing:
·         FIX MY TENT!
Now I must get the bunny waters done and get myself on the bus. Last lab this week! Then just lots of grading – well, none this weekend which is great. Monday they’ll turn in the lab reports, then Sat they take the exam.
