Accomplishments

7:45 am
Yesterday was reasonably productive. Let’s see, I finished splitting several of the credit card bills, just a couple left to go. And all the months are reconciled. I met with a committee member re fair stuff (that was the first project of the day). In fact, now I am remembering it all… I even walked to Atkins to meet her. It was a long walk, but certainly do-able. We met for quite a bit longer than I had planned – til 10:30, and L met me there and drove me home. The idea had been that she would do a few errands then leave me the car, but in the end she just kept it bc she wanted to go out to NoHo at night. So the car is now at V’s where L left it while she goes skiing at Mt Snow all day. The idea for that was that I would take a nice walk this morning to get it and then I could finally do my errands. And drive to Cummington to meet another committee member to look at tent placement ideas. But I had forgotten about bookclub, which is this afternoon. So I changed plans and will go to Cummington tomorrow afternoon (I’ll have to leave work early). And now there is a dilemma – do I walk to V’s this morning? Seems like it would be better to walk to Barnes and Noble this afternoon for book club and I can do my errands then. But then how will I get the car? Because I will need it both Mon and Tues, since I will need to drive to Cummington from work tomorrow, then I still need to pick up stuff for Tigger from the vet and the share from Brookfield, which I will do on Tues. So that is 2 days that I need to drive. Well that is just the way it goes I guess.
Hmm. Started out talking about my productive day and then degenerated. So I met re fair, came home and then spent the rest of the morning on the computer writing up what we had talked about, emailing, etc. That part was tedious. I made a nice lunch, which L arrived just in time to share. And after that I think I did some finances first, then finally got myself outside to pluck a bunny. There are several that need work, and that is what I hope to do today. I only managed to do Dylan. He was a big mess, and it all happened over just the 2 months since I cleaned him all up. It is interesting how the albinos have such a different texture to their coat and their skin. And they seem very susceptible to mites, though it could be just dandruff from their skin. Anyway, I managed to get him all cleaned up. I have a lot of wool from him, but most of it is quite tangled. When I can get myself out there and going, I will do Bart, Amber, and at least clean up some others. At least it has been quite warm. If the temperatures sink again I’ll figure out what to do.
L and I had talked about going to Temenos next weekend, but I don’t think we’ll do it. Well, she has decided she can’t bc she doesn’t want to spend the money. So much seems to hinge on whether or not she will go on this northern woods trip and she will not know until next week. Nerve wracking. Well, for her, it is not something I am worried about.
After the plucking, I was really cold and really tired. I came in and finished the finances. Not exactly hugely relaxing, but at least the fire was blazing so I warmed up. And then I made quite a nice supper of roasted sweet potato, roasted carrots and garlic, baked potatoes. Can you tell I am using up the last of the Next Barn Over vegs? Well, not the last of the garlic…. I’ll pick up another Brookfield share Tuesday. And today I am thawing a rabbit to cook up. I tried again with the ice cream we tried to make the other day, and the freezer part still did not seem to be cold enough. It could be that I has gotten too old (does that happen?). I put it back in and will try again later today.
