Class and Random

                Bought a pair of skis and ski boots at the sale at Crocker Farm yesterday. They are waxless so I will be joining the modern ski world…… and maybe it means I will actually ski occasionally like today. K has meetings all day, and packing, so I will just go by myself which is better anyway. Lots of other stuff today, like finances and getting ready for the fair meeting tomorrow. I guess I had better call the co-chair. Blah blah blah. And someone emailed wanting to buy a knit bunny, so I will start that. I have been knitting another hat on the bus while attempting to listen to Domby and Son. This LibriVox reader is especially good. Trouble is that the bus is so loud that it is really hard to hear. Though yesterday I tried to leave on the 4:10 bus but missed it so I wandered, knitting and listening (attempting to knit with my leather gloves on! But it was not that cold so I took them off) until the next bus at 4:50. And I still managed to cook 2 quiche. I got things ready before going to the sale with L, then put them together and baked them when I got back.

                The spinning class on Thursday night went well. I am finding that really, I show them how to do it, and then the best thing is to leave them to it. I try to look around to see if anyone is struggling and help them out. We got as far as starting to drop spindle. Next week we’ll use the wheels and I’ll have the carders. I will drive in on Tuesday since we have a meeting at 9, and then I can bring the carders in. So we’ll blend, and use the wheels and some will keep using their spindles. I showed them how to ply, using the box I put together, but that is actually not very practical. You need to spin onto 2 spindles, then you need a third to ply onto, and besides that, for some reason one of the spindles kept popping off. It was annoying and kind of embarrassing.

                I think I will also finish my rug today and then call my friend. Not sure we can actually manage to get together until next Thursday. I will go in late that day, after I feed Tigger, for my class. Same thing will happen the next week as K does not get back until very late Friday. He is really gone 2 weeks. Which should be fine, except that I will have to deal with Tigger the whole time. And I should take him out for walks some, but boy that is a pain in the neck. Oh well
