7:30 am
Kept thinking
all yesterday that it was Sunday and so thus today would be Monday. Which is
not a bad thing to think. It is very nice that it is actually Wed and so in
just a few days it will be Saturday….
Today will
be busy of course. I must get all the spinning stuff together and packed into
the car to take to work and haul up to 101 for my class tomorrow. I will drive
in today, then take the bus tomorrow and make SURE I leave in time to catch the
10 pm bus at night. Otherwise it is not until 11:30. It just means getting them
to stop and pull things together early. If left all to themselves, they would
stay until midnight.
I finally
got the fire to catch – always a big accomplishment. Now Tigger is standing by
the door whining, but he does not want to go out. I guess he just wants
attention, but I just gave him some rubs. Well, it is never enough. He figures
some rubs should beget more rubs. Poor guy fell downstairs yesterday. I was
down there working on the rug I started, L was upstairs packing, and somehow
the door got left open and next I knew – crash bang boom he was at the bottom
of the stairs. Poor guy. And now his butt is dirty, so I guess I had better
clean it or he will dirty all the rugs. Ok. Did that. What a pain in the neck. And
I think it is hurting him more. Poor guy. And he will be having long days at
home alone again now. Well I suppose most days I can come home fairly early. Meaning
I will have to tend to him. Then of course next week K leaves for Haiti
(Monday) and it is just me for 10 days. After that L and I are talking about
going to Temenos for a couple of nights. Woo hoo. I hope it works out.
G is
off to the youth hostel in Austin on Monday. She says she likes the hostel and beach where they
went, but heads back to her friend’s in Aloha (OR) today some time. Maybe she
can get herself somewhere to go hiking. She is going to stay in a hostel in
Austin and of course I am a little bit nervous about her being there all by
herself, wandering the city. Will she stay away from the seedy parts of town? Will
she stay safe????
So once
I get everything loaded, then unloaded, well, it will probably be close to noon
by then. I will start in with organizing room 108 and putting everything away. Besides
that I want to spend a good amount of time writing things up about the labs
before everything fades from my mind.
First Person
last night was ok. I did read the thing I managed to write on Sunday and it
read pretty well. So I guess I’ll print it out and send it off. Not sure
exactly who I will send it to. I don’t need to send it to immediate family or
nearby friends. Just people far away I suppose. But there are not so many of
those….well whatever. Maybe I’ll post it on the blog, too.
Time to
get to it: stretches, feed the buns, eat bfast. And bundle up bc it is
certainly cold – 5oF. L is at her new place (a room in a house on
Pomeroy) and will have to walk to work – brrrr)
