                Wow late. It is such a luxury to lie in bed doing nothing. And for some reason Tigger did not wake me up. Well, it probably helps to have earplugs. If he woke up earlier, I did not hear him. It might also help that I have been feeding him more at each meal so maybe he is not so very hungry at meal times. It is really lazy when I think that last fall, by this time in the morning I would be on the treadmill at the gym at work. Watching Pittbull. I think next week I may need to start getting myself up early to get back on a better schedule. But I did stay up kind of late last night and actually spun up 3 new skeins – need to wind them off today. And I even walked Tigger and held Snakey, so the house may be a total mess, but I have been productive. Would like to spin the last three Crystal skeins today, but I really need to do finances and work on the pile, so we’ll see. I will not go into work until late as it is class tonight and I will stay until 10, so I have to feed Tigger before I go. I think there is a bus around 3:30 and that is what I’ll take. I did go to the gym yesterday (though at 9:30 instead of 7:30) but I also got to thinking. Is what is presented on the TV really what I want to fill my head with every day? Instead what if I tried to do some of my exercising by walking outside (gasp!). One trouble is that I would be walking not running and so would not get as solid exercise I am thinking. Though I hardly am “running” at 3.5 or 4 mph. Another trouble is the logistics. Part of wanting to do that would be to take up less time, not more. So I started thinking what if I walked say to Atkins and got on the bus to work there. All fine and good, and I even thought I might try that today, since if I miss a bus it is ok, but it would mean I would have to leave here so early and Tigger would be fed too early. Except that I don’t have to be at work by 4, so I could feed him, walk, and catch the bus after that – one would get me there by 4:45, meaning I would catch it at Atkins at 4:30 meaning I’m thinking I would leave here by 3:30 which would be fine as far as feeding Tigger goes. I don’t suppose any of this would save time, it would also mean I would not take a shower after the exercise which wouldn’t matter on just lecture or lab conference days, but probably not so good if I am teaching lab. And it looks like I might be teaching Thurs am and pm again, so that day will just be off the table for everything. Well the other thing I was thinking was that I could also walk to Atkins to meet a friend re the fair on Saturday, since that is what we arranged. But the reality is that I must go to the vet on Saturday to pick up medicine for Tigger. But then, next week will be another winter vegetable share pick up, so maybe I should just wait to go to the vet’s on Monday, drive in to work that day. So maybe I will do the Saturday walk, see how long it takes and all that. There was something else I was thinking I would need to drive for, but I have forgotten. I would like to get some cream, because I made an ice cream custard last night but need cream to do the freezing part. Except that the reality is that I hardly need that gratuitous fat, so instead I could add more milk, or even yogurt and make it that way. Much better.

                Today, as I said, I need to tackle the Pile. And tidy up – empty the dw so I can refill it and clear the counter. I made a totally lovely “lupper?” yesterday. I fried the bacon from the fair brunch along with some onions, then added the potato/rutabaga/turnip mash that I had made, fried that all up, then fried eggs and made toast to go with it all. It was delicious. I ate it at about 3, after I left work early, then I just sat here in the chair with the fire blazing and fell asleep for a while. It was lovely. And so luxurious to just sit here and do nothing.

                The other thing I soon need to do is clean out bunny cages and work on cleaning up bunnies. Several could use at least a brushing out of loose hair if not a full pluck. It is supposed to be warm today, so this would be a good day to clear poop piles out of cages.
