Plowing Through my Days

6:45 am
Miracle of miracles, Tigger did not pull his diaper off last night, nor did he tear anything apart or drag any rugs around. Makes things a tad easier. He is outside now and at some point I will need to go out and help him back in. I have started putting a bootie on his foot so at least he does not come back in bleeding, but he really is having a hard time getting around, so it helps a lot if I go out there and use the leash or a fresh diaper to lift his bum so he can walk.
I managed to get to work whenever I got there – it was around 8 and was just as the prof was arriving, so that is good – good for her to see me there and working. Not that I accomplished much. Well, still just trying to figure out how to not have to use the biopac and how to make use of the equipment we have, etc. I did get some more equipment stored away, and now there is not too much to go through, mostly the slides and finish with the timers and then tackle the drawers. And I am still plowing through the statistics book that we got. It is quite a slog, not exactly written for a layperson’s brain. It was written by a statistician and a mathematician and they just zoom along about all these concepts that are not at all intuitive and require slow slow reading. And I’m not at all sure how actually helpful it will be in the end. Well at least it will expose me a bit more to some of these terms and ideas. There is also a section in one of the text study guides about graphing data that I would like to look over (see if there is anything that would be worth making available to students) and there is another book about presenting data to look over.
After work, I left early, zipped home to check on the guy (he did end up eating his breakfast before I left for work, and he seemed ok, I walked him a bit and gave him an early supper). Then I drove out to Cummington to meet the fair co-chair and look at the tent space. There is plenty of room for even a 30X45 ft tent. And, very nicely, 3 of his ewes have lambed so that was very cute to see. One pair had just been born an hour or so before I arrived. They were still wet and squawking.
I got home, got the fire going, dealt with Tigger again, meditated, fed buns, had supper and managed to spin up 2 more ½ ounce bits, so now I must just spin the other bobbin and then I can ply. And I listened to the radio but when the same guy came on talking about bereavement that I had heard in the car, I turned to Dombey and listened to that for a while. What I did NOT do was any finances at all, so really I should pay bills this morning and do more this afternoon. I guess I’ll go to the gym if I ever get out of here, I just don’t really feel like moving at all, and I’ll leave work around 4. Oh and I have the car because I’ll need to go to Lichtenburg’s and Brookfield, so I guess I’ll have to leave around 3:30 so I don’t get back too late.
